I love this movie. Don't know why (maybe mr Darcy) but I've seen it 30 times and probably will again.

I've had the book for ages but stop myself from reading it because I don't want to spoil the movie.

It's a great film Caryll. Both the one by the BBC (which they serialised - the one with the famous wet shirt) and the newer one - I love them both in their different ways, but the BBC version has the edge for me.

But either you like this sort of thing - or you don't!

I love them all as well.

I enjoyed Becoming Jane with Anne Hathaway as well.

I don't know this one?

I do appreciate Jane Austen, have read all her novels and watched most movie adaptions (some I have liked, some I have not) but haven't heard of this. I'll look it up.

btw, my sister is a guide at Jane Austen's house in Chawton and is avid!

Oh cooool! I've read Emma and Sense and Sensibility but have put of Pride and Prejudice.

Becoming Jane tells Jane Austens story but it mixes facts and fiction a bit. Still a nice movie.

I'm a hopeless romantic at heart.

I do like the adaptations of the romantic classics, especially the BBC adaptations - they just don't make them as good as that now.

These days they focus more on violence and sex than the more subtle dynamics of society and relationships.
