Liver cake Empty Liver cake

I think most people will know this home made treat recipe but here goes:

A cup of SR flour
A large tbs of baking soda
2 eggs
clove of garlic (as a flea repellent)
a pack of liver

Put it all in a blender then into a greased and lined baking tin and bake around 25/30 mins. Cut into small squares when cool. Can be frozen.

I make these quite regularly, they take minutes to prepare and the dogs go mad for them. Sometimes I make tuna and grated carrot as an alternative.

I keep meaning to have a go at that, but being a vegetarian makes me cringe at having meat in my oven again! laughing

Would you be ok with the tuna one? The liver one might be a bit much for you as it smells so much while being prepared.

It isn't the smell so much - it's the fact that none of my pots/pans etc have ever had meat in them! I don't mind handling it (Dempsey was raw fed & is still half raw fed), it's just eating out of pans that have had meat in them.... sick

Maybe I should buy a pan specifically for Dempsey? wink

I use the baking soda as I found it helps it to rise. I see that you are using plain flour so obviously like a flat one. It's a bit like pizza crust preference isn't it  laughing
