It was a lovely day and he was enjoying himself, so might as well document it!

He looks as if his tummy and paw troubles are behind him, hopefully?

His tummy was a lot better yesterday and this morning, so he was given a couple of the small biscuits (there were two treats that we suspected for causing the tummy upset - the small biscuits and his dog 'take aways') to see if it made a difference. By afternoon, he'd started to pass wind again, so we think it's probably the small biscuits causing the upset.

Will cut those back out, then introduce the take aways again, to see how he is with those.

His paw was much better, until today, when he very slightly hurt it again. Figured out how it happened though!

There's a gated land strip outside our garden, separating the houses from the street. A gate on either end. The last house, right next to the gate we usually go out of with Demps, has recently been occupied by new people.

These new people have a beautiful medium-brindle Stafford bitch. Very sweet outside of her garden. However, in my opinion, they shouldn't have her. I haven't seen her on a walk in months. She's left out in that garden for hours on end every day, in the scorching heat, and is constantly barking.

She also goes insane every time a human or dog goes past. There is a 6-foot fence around the garden, but she throws herself at it every time we take Demps out. In Dempsey's haste to respond (loudly), he lunges at the fence. The ground is very pebbly and rough, which is how he skinned his pads, skidding along.

The Stafford, bless her, is so cooped up and frustrated, she all-out snarled at me a few days ago when I went down to answer the doorbell. There's a gate that she peers out of, thankfully around the corner so that Demps never sees her, and all I saw was a very pretty young Stafford showing me every single one of her teeth.

Shame. She'd probably be a very sweet-natured girl if she was looked after properly.

Poor wee stafford it's so unusual for them to be like that towards people, she must be so frustrated to be acting like that

Just a gorgeous face, I can see why you chose that pic as your avatar. He looks like a bully on a mission.... get me what I want.. yeah thats right, "you're the leader"......come on... learn faster, (humans are a bit slow aren't they)....   or I will.... lick your face red raw!

Assuming you have the same fences as we do? Though i think you have horizontal slats? We have vertical. My cousins staffies climbed the fence rungs to get out.

Poor thing must be terribly frustrated! When I'm on my own and I walk past, it doesn't bother me, as I doubt very much she would hurt me, even if she did get over the fence.

Oh, I do! The moment any part of that fence starts to look like it's weakening, there will be a warning letter through the owners' letterbox.

Had another look earlier - the fence is more about 8 foot than 6 foot high. So very tall and unlikely that she'll get over it - I think it's more likely she'll bust through it! The slats are vertical, with no grip purchases, luckily.
