Cant have a ute here without a dog in the back. Cliché but true.....

We call ute a LDV or bakkie here and the same rule goes - Can't have one without a dog in the back.

Light Delivery Vehicle.
Bakkie is the Afrikaans word for a container and as the back is a 'container' it became the common word for pickup trucks.  happy
