Dempsey's makeshift bed

Post by Eleanor on Sat Aug 16, 2014 6:43 pm

He kept wandering into my bedroom, looking to lay down, but couldn't get comfortable. I think he likes it because it's quiet and darker than the rest of the house, and he can stay near the passage to keep an eye out.

So he'd better be grateful for this! I'm letting him use the bed I made for Snuffles, as it's extra cosy and padded.

And please excuse the huuuuuge belly - it looks bigger than it really is because he's not long eaten his dinner. tongue

Tried to settle on my bed, but was sulking because I wouldn't let him cuddle up underneath the throw, which is there to stop his dirty paws from muddying up my lovely blanket! tongue

Not too impressed with his first bed - just a blanket from his crate.

Put the hedgie bed underneath his blanket and gave him one of my cushions for his big head.

Much better. tongue

I love his pot belly. tongue It's inspired two of my favourite nicknames for him - Froggy and Jelly Bean. tongue

At least he's finally got himself comfortable and relaxed! Don't know how I'm going to get out of my bedroom if I need to go to the bathroom, though laughing

Step over him! (That's a new take on "let sleeping dogs lie").

If only Dempsey knew! But in the meantime, it's good to know that he has settled down.

He's run back downstairs now, but he knows the bed's there. Hopefully he'll come back up if he wants some company. happy

Yeah, still a bit restless, but his tail's wagging more than it was yesterday. He's not as distressed now! happy

Went to the bathroom just now and left my door open, as he was downstairs. Just as I was about to leave the bathroom, I had the faint pitter patter of paws walking past. Arrived in my bedroom to find the little monster curled up on my bed, against my pillow. He didn't stay there for too long though. Apparently the throw just isn't to his liking!

I put blankies over the dogs beds , they come in and scratch em up do a few turns and then lie down , but strange as Tilly will sit in front of my pc chair and not get up until I straighten out the blankies on it guess that one must be her posh bed lol
