How long should an hour walk take? An hour? Apparently not!

As most of you know... Jess can't do long walks now so I took her for her quickie (20min) this morn while I thought Tyson was still asleep.

I came home to Tyson "howling" his lungs out in full on dramatic staffy style. (No, his limbs hadn't been severed.... it just sounded that way.) I normally take Tyson on Jess's walk, & then Tyson again later, on a proper walk by himself.

Ok Tyson! Lets go munchkin... out the door we went for our normal hour circuit as Jess hit the sack.

We met my neighbour (who is normally walking his racing greyhounds) but he had "Magic" with him today. His collie that I have never met before. Magic & Tyson played like manic, ferral, idiots for the longest time. Magic is a chocolate,  he is 7yrs & a lovely natured dog

Then we met a lady with 2 toddlers who were both, hands outstretched...
Puppy! Puppy! Puppy! Can they pat your dog? Sure, of course they can! Tyson, sit! God help me .... He's trying to shake paws & kiss them, nearly punching the toddlers in the face... Tyson, NO!...Don't knock them over or drown them in doggie slobber! Their mum was laughing as I stressed out. "They are used to strong dogs, they're fine. We have a bulldog" said mum. Tyson stopped trying to shake hands... A few toddler pats (head smacks) & a rough toddler hug (choking).    Oh good boy Tyson! He just sat as they smacked his head & tried to strangle him. The little girl tried to play horsey rides with him!
That was very gentle, well done Tyson!  

We went through the park & the gardeners had to have a pat.....hang on... I've met him before.... I'll grab a doggie treat for him from the ute.(you keep dog treats in the ute? Oh yes, I have heaps of doggie friends in this job. )Then Tyson was rough housing with the boys. I think Tyson forgot I was even in the park!

Off we went & stopped at the shop. Yes, bring him in... more pats from the staff, Tyson was behind the counter, customers scratching his butt for him... "hello! Remember me? The one who does everything." Sorry, too busy at the moment mum.

Oh Tyson was a social butterfly. What a lovely time he was having, running, walking, trotting by my side with a healthy dose of being fussed on.

I finally got home nearly 3hrs after I set off!

An hour walk should actually take an hour unless you are running on Tyson time!

That's GMT +/- a few hours, depending how social you feel at any given moment.

I am so pleased with Tyson, in all circumstances he behaved beautifully.  Maybe a little heavy footed with the kids but he was trying to be nice, say hello & shake paws.

Walks like that are great - as long as you're not in a hurry! Well done Tyson.

Luckily I had time.  Nowhere to go today, nothing to do.
I am so poud of him!  
Mostly new experiences (though not all) he dealt with each one beautifully.
One of our best walks. & I do love him playing with all ages of people,  dogs, cats, any species really.

Bless him! At least nobody could complain about his social skills!

Trouble is, you never taught him to tell the time.........

He is probably the sweetest natured dog I have had next to my girl. Tyson is a pleasure to take anywhere.

Well I wasn't happy as he nearly punched the toddlers in the face in his excitement to shake hands! My fault really as I trained him to sit & shake when meeting anyone to stop him jumping up. The kids were just not tall enough yet. So really, it was their fault!

Both had Ducks disease.

He's a sociable boy isn't he my two almost knock everyone over while they compete to say hello.

Yes the little wombat is quite social, his paw moving as fast as a fly swat on a mission, & Oh yes, I get that! My two do exactly the same. I find it quite funny. Never sure who to fuss on first?

Well that's actually quite polite by our standards!  Thus my constant edits so I speak Pommy & not Aussie!

You know the little turd can tell time! He barks in my face at 6.04pm when his dinner is late! Aparrently it's due sharply at 18.00 hrs.... but the same principle doesn't seem to apply to walkies time?

Both "Duck's disease or short ass" Are actually terms of endearment we use mostly in a jovial manner towards those we like. If we want to be rude (impolite) we say.. you're a short assed maggot!  Etc.
