Some grumbles today, but not letting it ruin my day!
Both me and mum must have eaten something bad, as we've been suffering for it since last Wednesday evening!
Left early today, so that I could get to university an hour-and-a-half early to fit in some studying. Pouring with rain and my stomach was giving me hell, so I was proud of myself for even getting out of bed! Mondays are also the most challenging, with science-based lectures all day up at the equine campus, which is a half hour walk from the main site, up winding country roads.
Got onto the bus and the driver didn't seem to think it was important to let me know that one of the main roads on the route had been closed off. So he went trundling down a totally different route! When I went over to ask where the bus was headed, he kept responding with, "Yes, yes, yes!" and a happy grin. I don't think he spoke a word of English!
So decided to just roll with it and see where the bus took me. Eventually, another driver got onto the bus and let me know that the bus was going the loooooooong way around and would still get me to where I wanted to go. The journey took forty-five minutes longer than usual and this wasn't even during the rush hour!
Finally got to the village and it was raining even harder. Another fifteen minute walk down to the campus. Then the shuttle bus didn't turn up, so another half hour walk down to the equine campus. Then my stomach started to play up again, so I dashed to the only toilet on the site, which was locked. Had to run back to main site! Then aaaaaall the way back up to the equine campus in time for my lecture.
Last lecture, Genetics, and we had a fire drill right in the middle! Again, pouring with rain! We didn't actually hear the fire drill in the lecture theatre. Another lecturer had to come in to let us know. So it's good to know that, if there's a fire, we'll all be happily unaware.
Then the bus didn't turn up on the way back. Pfft!
Despite all that, I've enjoyed the day and am still in a good mood! Go figure!

Do you have any idea what caused your tummy-wubbles?
Last week I was incapacitated for 2 days when I included raw cauliflower in my salad. I should have known better because it's argued with me before, but I thought a little bit wouldn't hurt. But it did

I thought it was a bad carton of lichee juice that mum and I had, but I'm not so sure now. Probably just a bug we picked up!
Oh dear Poor you! At least you'll know not to in future!

Yep - despite its lovely crunchiness and peppery taste, raw cauliflower is now joining the list of pleasures that are denied me As maybe lychee juice is doing for you!
