That is todays paper and it just made me think how bloody lucky i have been in my 10 years with lexi. Shes gone walkies several times as you all know and was stolen once but by a do gooder who thought she was rescuing her lol

It could have so easily gone so wrong for her.

Shes been such a good house doggy! No running about, no feet licking, no poos inside (had a few pees but they were human error and the last one was at the back door)

Feel very grateful and sad at the paper.

I read these things and feel exactly the same.

One of the radio stations I listen to had an interview with a dog fighter and he explained how they get these dogs.
Having your dog stolen out of the yard doesn't happen frequently. They just browse the advertising pages and websites for people giving away dogs. He sends his wife to visit and look at the dog/s. If they want to do a house check, his wife invites them over to his nice house. He even pays for the dogs if they're the bullterrier breeds.

It's sick. These days it seems if you can't keep your dogs it's better to have them PTS.

It is sad there seems to be more and more reports around the country about dogs being stolen either from gardens or people out walking.
