Ugh ...

... it's so hot! It's so humid!
I am so tired of feeling sweaty and gross and tired and drained and uncomfortable!! If only it would rain! so we could have some reprieve

Even the dogs are lethargic and don't want to do anything.

We're overdue on rain. We're starting to look a drought in the face.
Last good rain we had was in June 2014, few drizzles that mean nothing inbetween. Yesterday the clouds packed together nicely but it only rained for like 10 minutes and stopped.

I should think that just evaporated before it had a chance to do any good?

It is normal to go a few months without proper rain (just having the odd drizzle here and there) but this is a bad year.

We have some rain today but it's not a lot and it's a very fine rain so will only soak into the topsoil.

I hope you get some decent rain soon!

We go forever without rain sometimes but Melbourne is known for... " if you don't like the weather, wait 5 mins".

I sympathize. Humidity is a killer of all activity.

It's awful! We never used to have any humidity but for the last 4? years we've been experiencing more and more.

I use Dempsey's Kool collar when it's humid here! Fill it with ice cubes and chill out! Though it's a bit messy, so I usually just put my rice sock in the freezer and use that instead.

Nothing will help in our shop.
Heard on the news this morning we're going to hit the high 30's all through the week.

Yuk! Way too hot for me!

It's been overcast the last 2 days so we're having nice temperatures. The surrounding town are all in the high 30's early 40's, there's veld fires all over.
We're not even into February yet ... hottest month of the year.
