This is the food i'm on now. I had no food left and i didn't have time to get to the pet shop that sells wainwrights so this was the best of the bunch in the local feed store. It is not terrible and not a huge step down from wainwrights just hope her tummy doesn't go mad from changing foods so much this month lol

Not overly keen on Autarky myself - the maize content is very high & the meat isn't good quality.

But if it's all you've got, you've got no choice, really. dunno

Science plan is good if a dog has an upset tummy, but only because it has literally nothing in it, other than fillers! laughing No good for permanent feeding, in my opinion.

Yeah it's not a food in my opinion. Would never feed it unless necessary and even then I'd try to find an alternative lol

We've fed it to Dempsey once, and that was because of special circumstances - his stomach operation. He had to be fed literally one teaspoon of food at a time, spread through the day, as normal food probably would have been to heavy and difficult to digest. Very expensive as well!

Yeah my friend had a rescue grey hound/lurcher and he had some problem he had to be fed it very small amounts all day. He couldnt digest food well and was very very very thin, but not through lack of food, it just ran though him or he would be sick. Poor thing ended up dying in the night probably just from malnutrition. Was costing them upwards of £400 a month to keep alive. Such a loving dog though  love love

This is him at his largest (when he came to them he was half this size)

Aww, bless him poor thing. Maybe there was something wrong with him like pancreatitis or an insufficiency of something?

The vet said his oesophagus was too long for his body? So food would get stuck, causing the vomiting. So his whole throat was just effed up and his stomach was ridiculously small. They had a special box for him to stand on to extend his body to eat by using tea spoons. He did one when a door was open and he was brought back by the police once and they were all for charging my friend with cruelty until they saw the vet and rescue bills. Then another time he wandered off, back gate left open by postie, he was brough back by someone in the town who posted all over facebook about how cruel the family were etc and that they had to feed the poor dog btu that it was so abused it threw up again lol idiot

Some people can be so nasty!

Good of the police to let it drop, though. Poor dog, at least he had some comfort at the end sad

That's something else I hate - taking the law into their own hands, potentially ruining the reputation of a loving family and causing a huge amount of trouble.

I think sometimes it can take time to come around to the idea of another dog; some people never do. Sounds like they saved that dog's life though.
