I've just posted a photo of Buster as an avatar but it is so big and I don't know why. I'm sorry about that admin!

Don't worry about it, it isn't that big.
Eleanor's the one with the computer knowledge so I think she'll have to have a look and see if she can resize it a bit.

Re: Avatar
I did the same with my first pic. I just resize the pic on Paint and then upload it - around 150x150 pixels

That sounds a bit technical for me, I'm not so good with computers.

LOL!
See if you can make sense of this:
Right click the image on your computer.
Select edit, it should open in Paint.
Choose resize - it gives you a percentage and pixels option.
I have windows 8.1 so it automatically keeps the proportions but remember in XP you had to select a box to keep them.
Then type 150 in horizontal.
Click 'Ok'
Then File, Save as, Rename the pic as you don't want to loose the original, choose the folder it should be saved into.
And Bobs your uncle.

Re: Avatar
I've had a go but it doesn't open in paint. It has 2 boxes, one for length and one for width so if I put 150 in width I wouldn't know what to put in length. So I'm just going to leave it as I don't want to mess it up!

It will be, but when I searched for his link he had a different email address on it and I thought he may have abandoned the old one but obviously not.

Re: Avatar
Looks like it's sorted - sorry I wasn't on to answer!
Out of interest, did you upload the picture of post a link to your avatar? Very often, if you choose an avatar from a link (such as a Photobucket picture), it'll be a strange size.

Re: Avatar
No, I took it from photobucket. Strangely, I am using it as an avatar on another (not dog related) forum and when I added it to that one it fixed itself at the correct size. I am not techno orientated and I'm having to learn to look after myself in that respect as my son lives overseas now, he used to sort all of that sort of thing for me but Microsoft scooped him up and took him away.

To add - excuse me but I love telling people that he works for Microsoft. It is ok to brag about your own children though - am I right!

Strange! I'll have a look around and see if I can find out why it messed up.
Nothing wrong with bragging!
