HELLO
Not posted in a while.
SO the catch up, Billy had a sprained tail, couldn't wagg for a few days. This all coincided with the father sneakiliy feeding pedigree, which gave him scoots. Of course i was lording it up with smugness, and forced him to give him proper food again. So he is back to normal, and the parental realises the errors of his ways.
Lexi is as usual, great and beautiful and snuggly. Getting fed the good stuff i force! lol
(for those that know me..)
Jago the big one is still here, owner has no intention of moving him..really getting to me. Thriller the little black one is not doing great in shows, and his owner text me tonight and said shes not taking him back basically. Goldie is....mine! lol
sigh.
I have decided i want to be a groomer, so am trying to get that started.

Poor Billy! Was it sprained, or was it Limber Tail? Either way, it's painful poor lad. Well done for getting him to ditch the pedigree! Lexi's a gorgeous snuggle bunny! You don't post enough pics!

What on earth are you going to do? Surely they realise that Jago can't stay there forever?

Any idea why Thriller isn't doing well? Is it something you can work on, or just that he isn't what they're looking for? Goldie's a realm cutie!

Is there anywhere near you where you can train?

Re: HELLO
I really don't know what to do about jago. I can only yap so much before it just falls on dead ears. Thrillers just got what they are looking for this year they seem to all want taller skinnier horses.
There is a groomin course but it is ridiculously expensive so I'm going to start saving and have emailed a few groomers to ask if they need anyone to help around the salon for experience.

Re: HELLO
I worked in a grooming salon at one of my kennels. I bathed and dried and preped the dogs for the clippers so I have the experience there. I reckon if I got in somewhere that I would pick it up really fast cause I'm used to clippers anyway. The only thing I need to learn is to do nails and anal glands.

Re: HELLO
Sounds like it's been hectic! Hope Billy's feeling better!
Anal glands & claws will be something you'll pick up really easily, I bet! You'll be a pro in no time!
Does UCAS apply for your area? If so, you could try getting finance from them for your course!

Re: HELLO
Hello Hayley sounds like you've been busy.
Poor Billy, hope he's feeling all better now. Grooming would be great, fingers crossed one of them will let you help out.

Re: HELLO
Aw.
Do you think you could find an apprenticeship somewhere, so that they can train you and put you through the course?

Re: HELLO
That's a shame. Might still be worth a shot to ask. If they can't offer you an apprenticeship, maybe they could point you in the right direction to do the course?
