1/2 an hr is all I ask! Empty 1/2 an hr is all I ask!

Post by tracyp Thu Oct 30, 2014 9:13 am

I like 1/2 an hr when I get up to have a glass of water & quietly watch the morning news in pease. Apart from that.... I ask nothing much else.

This morn I get woken by con shaking me, (our fridge broke down 3 days ago). The bloke is coming straight away. Don't come out without clothes when the dogs bark. Ph's ringing, service men calling. I got up. Him telling me about the fridge & what he found. Would the bloke try to add on repairs? Jess going barking mad because she wants her breaky. Tyson sitting up infront of me, digging my shin bone out as I tried to ignore him without success. Next con's mate calls... he has a 75cm snapper caught yesterday he wants to bring down now! Yes I'd love it but my fridge is on the fritz, Chilli is running & climbing the security doors. If jess dosent stop barking I am going to commit murder! Con is talking about getting ice for the fish till the repairman has been. The repairman arrives & just as he leaves, our friend arrives to find water all over the floor from the fridge, food all over the bench from the fridge sothe guy could fix it. Jess going nuts to see him. Tyson pushing in for pats, both barking in excitement again......EVERYONE STOP!

I have never been so happy for my man, friend & serviceman to leave & let me just drink my water & restore my house in peace.

Ouch! Nasty start to the morning!

In this house, everyone leaves me alone until I have my first cup of tea!

It was a complete disaster zone today!

Caryll, all I want is a glass of water, the tv news & quiet for an 1/2 hr till I understand english again... Yet dogs & people bomdarded me, what about? Can you? Woof woof. (Jess has a really LOUD bark, Tyson is just plain pushy... chilli  shocked the humans.....  not listening  Blah, blah, blah....I've been up for 3 mins guys! Can i at least visit the bathroom? Nope, can't even do that without the cat opening the sliding door!

They sound like 20 woman gossiping in the kitchen to me when I have only had my eyes open for 30 secs shocked

Why can't I have just a 1/2 hr each day? crying

I understand perfectly - I'm really fragile first thing, and the earlier that first thing is the more fragile I am. I do make myself a cup of tea before I get out of bed though - my eyes won't stay open without it!

I'm pissed off just reading that Tracy laughing
I am not a morning person and that would have had the dragon erupting with her screaming fire breath and decapitating claws.
Everyone I know, knows not to bug me before 8:00. My dogs also know to keep calm and quiet in the morning and just let me have my coffee.

rolling on floor rolling on floor rolling on floor

Glad I'm not the only one!

For the most part I don't speak. I just walk through the house and if someone is to loud or rambunctious I freeze and give them a death stare. My dogs mostly run out the house when I open the door and come running back later for breakfast.
They're much more sensible than people.

I used to be a "coffee before you speak to me gal". One day I just didn't ever want it again & I have never missed it. I have no idea why? But I must have a cold water when I wake now.

I live on arvo shift hrs to match my OH. We get up around 9am but dont go to sleep till about 2-3am with the hrs he works. I cook dinner around midnight for him. I used to wake happy, ready for the day, but now....Don't talk to me... I want water, morning news & quiet! (& I just want to hear the news, NOT feel the volume!)
3 men doing thing, talking & laughing loudly, stuff being banged, fish being delivered, a flooded floor to clean up as I'm waking up is not my idea of a good start to my day any longer.  I WANT PEACE, QUIET &CALM! After 1/2hr, you can throw anything at me.

But I was silent... service man getting a job done I needed, friend giving us a lovely big fish, my OH chatting with them... I sat.... seething!

I love anyone that visits but that morn took my all not to kick the 3 of them out! angry

But there are things like reasonable hours and reasonable levels of energy at certain times of the day.
