Half complaining, half happy!
Back onto duties for the next week, which ought to be fun! I'm not looking forward to the 7:30 AM - 6:15 PM days, but I'll just have to make sure I drink enough coffee!
Very apprehensive on this one, though. My last duties were almost two years ago and were hands-on with the animals. This time, I'm in a managerial role, taking charge of a dozen college students. Apparently these ones are particularly arrogant and grumbly when it comes to doing work! I'm hoping it won't be too bad. Especially as I'm not allowed to have a go at them if they refuse to work.
My only real complaint is that I won't actually be working with the animals, but overseeing instead. It's going to be so strange! Also a bit worried, as the site I'll be overseeing has recently been redone, so the layout is completely different and very complicated.
Wish me luck!

Mwuhahaha!
Just had a brief panic over bus times! Luckily, there is a bus that will get me there on time, although I'll be about 45 minutes early!

It's a very long day sure enough - just as well you are young, fit and enthusiastic and fuelled by caffeine!
And if the arrogant grumbly beggars kick up, just ask them to reflect and consider what exactly they are hoping to achieve from their course and whether their behaviour is likely to achieve their aims.
As requested Eleanor, I wish you luck!

I didn't get back until about eight o'clock! Tiiiiiiiired!
I was very good today! Chose orange juice over coffee and didn't strangle any of the students!
One of the porcupines was euthanised today, though. Poor girl was very elderly and in bad shape.

Thanks
Got very angry with a couple of the students today, but will explain that once duties are over and I'm not so tired!
