Meet Isolde (nee Jemima)
First topic message reminder :
Yesterday we travelled to Essex to look at a little girl from GSR-Elite, named Jemima. Initial meetings with Morgan and Tristan were ok, so we've fostered her for the time being, with a view to adopting her if it all goes well.
We've decided to rechristen her Isolde - more in keeping with my Arthurian obsession, she's not been Jemima very long so it shouldn't be a problem. She was found as stray and was taken to Battersea, who were struggling to rehome her, hence she was moved on to GSR-Elite. Here's a few pics:

Well that sounds like puppies adjusting to a new member in the house. Feeling the field, (if you will) It sounds as if its going quite well.

Re: Meet Isolde (nee Jemima)
She's doing ok. Now living outside in my old parrot cage. She still cannot fly yet but as her wing was so badly broken I am both hopeful that time will heal it, though not overly hopefull she will ever fly.
She comes inside daily to do her physio & sit on the dogs.
Her leg which she didnt like to stand on is just wonderful now. I think my daily physio has & is working very well as she now "flutters" & she grips tighty with the toes on her bad leg.
All in all she is quite well & I think we have a new pet to add permanently.

That's bound to happen, as long as it's just a bit irritable there shouldn't be a problem.
Tristan will probably settle as the days go on & he realises she isn't going anywhere!

Re: Meet Isolde (nee Jemima)
We've had an outbreak of play this morning! Initiated by Tristan - Morgan wasn't amused - but unlike when she told him he wasn't to be friendly with Aslan, he ignored her; Aslan was a bit boring and didn't play (bless him) Isolde obviously has more charms. They've both settled in their crates now (own choice), and Morgan is on the sofa with me.

Starting to sound like they're beginning to accept each other?

Think so - as long as Morgan doesn't interfere we've had a breakthrough.

Morgan was probably always going to be the last one to accept her - woman's prerogative!

Of course! Morgan accepts her on her own terms - it's anyone playing with her baby she doesn't like!

Sounds to me as if the foster agreement may just have been extended.

There's a fair chance of that!

Do you need a blue or black pen to sign on the dotted line?
Looks like they are best play mates to me.

They got into Morgan's bed and took all the stuffing out of her duvet after I took this - she was not amused!

Re: Meet Isolde (nee Jemima)
Was going really well until this morning. Tristan and Isolde have had daily play sessions, there's been a little bit of resource guarding, but not too badly. However, this morning Morgan decided she wanted to play - 'great', I thought - I put Tristan indoors to keep him out the way, but that meant Isolde tried to follow and ended up trapped, so she attacked Morgan and they had a full-on fight. They're being a bit wary around each other now.

Oh, dear - hopefully it'll just settle down & they'll get back on track.
Any harm done?

Re: Meet Isolde (nee Jemima)
No damage - not sure about harm. They keep eyeing each other warily across the room at the moment. It was entirely my own fault, I was so pleased that Morgan wanted to play, I didn't notice that Isolde had got herself cornered by the door and would feel threatened. Kicking myself.
