Sorry I haven't been on much, the house move & Christmas have taken up a lot more time than I'd planned.

The move itself was horrendous, but it's slowly taking shape.
We don't really do festivities as such. We open presents & have a traditional (but meatless) Christmas lunch on the day. Christmas eve we have a bottle of sparkly & a buffet evening meal. My oh & I usually watch a couple of DVDs, the same ones every year, but we couldn't find them this year!
Is birdie doing okay?

We've pretty much got the living room, dining room & kitchen sorted but the bedrooms are loaded with boxes etc that haven't been unpacked yet. Eleanor can hardly get to her bed & my oh has to vault over me to get to his side of our bed!

The last time I moved my own home was to the one I am currently in. It was Christmas Eve 1974, my mum looked after my toddler daughter and my then hubby and I did it entirely on our own. (Santa had packed daughter's stocking in advance, so that at least that wasn't a problem).
The previous occupants had even taken all of the lightbulbs! And when we collapsed exhausted into bed that night, the next-door neighbours struck up the noisiest party ever held EVER!
I was literally crying with exhaustion, I had heaved fridges and beds and heavy boxes all day. And I was 2 months pregnant but didn't know it!
