Sad :(

Got the results of one of my assignments earlier today. Failed.

The Turnitin submission program hadn't accepted the resubmission I'd in, which included extra details necessary to pass the assignment. Even though I'd be seen a receipt for it, the assignment my tutor marked was the one which didn't include those details.

Luckily, I always take screenshots of my receipts. I'm hoping that, if I show my lecturer the receipts on Monday, I'll be able to do a late resubmission.

I hope they will see sense and accept that for you - fingers crossed.

The tutor needs to check his inbox then.

It's an online submission program, sort of like a mass online storage area for students. The lecturers access the work through this mass storage area. My originally submitted assignment obviously was submitted without a problem, but the resubmission, for some reason, wasn't. Strange, considering I got a receipt for it.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed so that she'll give me a chance to send her my finished piece.

I would hope that she's reasonable minded enough to do just that!

She's a nice lecturer, but it depends on whether she 1) believes me and 2) is allowed to give me an extension.

I guess it depends on what your screen shot can tell her. If the submission accepted code shows that the document is different to the one that she marked (and it may only be the size of the document, if nothing else), then there's no reason why she should not believe you. As to whether she is allowed to give you an extension, you'll probably find she's allowed something like a two-week leeway, but would need permission for anything longer.

Eleanor & a couple of others on her course also spoke about the resubmission on Feb at the time, so she can show that conversation if necessary.

Fingers crossed. I know the OU often used to suggest submitting after every revision, until the deadline, as each resubmission would replace the last. I was always nervous of this approach.

Unfortunately, the re-submission receipt is the same as the original submission receipt. But I'm hoping that I've made a good enough impression on my lecturer that she'll believe me.

Lorraine: That's exactly what I was doing - came back to bite me! It's the only time it's ever gone wrong, but it's still irritating.
