New kettle

Most people who know me, know that I HAVE to have a cup of tea first thing in the mornong, or I'm       .......and that's putting it mildly.

So, this morning at the ungodly hour of 5am I put the kettle on to make my oh's flask of tea for the day, and more importantly my own first cup of the day - the one that makes me almost human.

Flicked the switch & the kettle started to sing.

Singing stopped. PANIC!

Flicked the switch & it started again. Panic averted.

It stopped. Again.

Flicked the flicking switch several times & managed to get the water boiled, but then the kettle wouldn't switch off!

So, patient, sweet-natured person that I am, I judged it prudent to go and buy a new kettle!

It's now safely installed & tested.

Mankind can rest easy once more.

Yes, I'm a tea addict! I admit it!

Oh, it isn't a weakness, it's a strength!  

Well, perhaps if you're using the Hulk as a comparison!

The Hulk was a mere weakling by comparison to me without my morning tea!  

So if the teabags go mysteriously missing in the morning..?

Nobody's life will be worth living!

btw Caryll which kettle did you buy cause I need a new one    

It's a Russel Hobbs 3 kw, 1.7 litre black cordless. It isn't bad, a bit quicker than my last one, but that was a morrison's own kettle!

I feel your pain, I'm the same with coffee haha.

  

I love tea, especially green tea, but not so much coffee.

We had been moaning about our kettle leaking for months, even got a new one from the company which also leaked! Then mum found a brand new kettle in the cupboard. Turns out we bought a new one but forgot and had been surviving with a leaky kettle for months unneccessarily haha

Bet you were kicking yourself after that!
