What breed is your ultimate dog?

Mine is the Cane Corso.
I soooooo badly want one but they're very, very expensive over here.

They're banned over here, I think.

I honestly don't have an ultimate must-have breed. I've loved the breeds I've had & I'll make a decision when the time comes.

That's a hard one as I have experience of so few dogs and they have all had their amazing points. I think that for me, the ultimate dog is whichever breed I have at the time (sorry, that's a cop-out I know!)

Lol! I love all dogs and adore each of mine, past and present, but the Cane Corso mashes everything I like most into one:
Shepherd intelligence, mastiff body, terrier tenacity and endurance.

Pyrenean Mountain Dog. If I see one in the street, I don't care what it takes - I'll be over there, asking to make a fuss of it.

Dobermanns were my ultimate dog and as you probably know by now I've had two.

Now I've got Kuchar whom I love to bits and if only he had a brain cell and was obedient he'd be my ultimate dog! I wouldn't swap him for anything though - he's my baby boy

Beautiful, beautiful dogs but think twice before getting one. My neighbour had a male and he'd jump/climb over an 8ft wall to fight other dogs walking by in the street. He got into my yard a few times but luckily not while my dogs were out. It's a more 'primitive' breed.

I met a number of dogos when in america and i wouldn't hesitate to get one should the ban here ever be lifted, utterly adore them!

I agree that they can be difficult - not for a first time owner. Luckily, I think Chance has given you plenty of preparation!

I love Dobies!  But i also love, Staffy's, Rotties, EBT's, GSD's, Mastiff's, Great danes, Foxies, there's no way I could pick just one ultimate breed!

They all have their good points. I think the ultimate breed comes down to how the breed fits into a family & it's lifestyle. Get the right breed for your lifestyle & yo have the ultimate dog!
