Last time I heard that, jess & I were attacked. Doubt I'll ever believe an owners remark again!

Oh? I thought it was public knowledge.

Jess & I were attacked by 3 malamutes. 1 male, 2 females. They ended up surrendered. I think they were PTS.

Jess was! They ripped a chunk out of her back & a massive 4 k9 bite wound on her leg!  The male tried to rip her leg out. Luckily the good one... not the arthritic one. Im sure I posted pics? I just had a small puncture & a swollen knuckle from punching the male.

I told jess to leave it & she did till they bit her.... thank god tyson was at home.... my OH came to find jess bloody & me screaming for him as I got her home.

Look on my photo bucket.

They had escaped from the property. But as they had killed before the ranger knew them. When I rang she knew the house to go to.

I felt so bad for them being taken but... it may not have been jess & I... it could have been a small child!

You did the right thing, hun! You're right; it could have been a child or an elderly person.

If a dog has killed before (I'm guessing they'd killed another dog, rather than a human?), the owners should make sure that the house is 100% escape proof! With more than one dog, they should have been even more careful!

One aggressive dog could be put down to genetics, but more than that? Owners were at fault.

They killed a cat & attacked a person. The owner..(think they were her ex's dogs) admitted she couldn't control 3. She gave them up willingly but she also knew the punishment if I had put in a formal complaint.

I thought loosing your dogs was a big enough punishment.... she did that, I didn't need to go further in my opinion.

I could have charged her, cost her money but... why?

That was very nice of you, Tracy, considering what happened.

Her poor son - I bet he really couldn't understand what was happening.

Please don't tear yourself up about this Tracy. You and Jess were attacked by a "pack" of loose dogs with no owner in sight. Even if you and Jess weren't hurt (and I hope you weren't) then at least it must have been terrifying for you both. Of course you had to report it. As it transpired, these dogs had already killed a cat (most probably someone else's best friend) and attacked another human - who knows, you may have saved her son from something worse than losing his pets.

You are so dead on lynda! clapping They were a pack!

To everyone...
I am telling you this because...

As one bit her in the front... 1 went to the side & 1 went to the back!
I could not watch & defend everywhere at once!

1. I am so angry about what happened.
2. I want people to watch out so it dosent happen to your babies.
3. Dont think if you have 2 or more  they wont work together when push comes to shove.
4. If someone says they are fine with other dogs... DON'T BELIEVE IT! Move your dog away till they have them on leash! Even if yours in on leash as Jess was!

Sorry... this should be at the end. I clicked the wrong button again! Dont know what I did & dont know how to move it!

Six weeks is actually quite a short amount of time, considering the severity of it! There's no rush. Just take your time and let yourself calm down before you go back! hug

I didn't realise that it was such a short time ago, Tracy.

I hope that Jess has recovered from her injury physically and mentally. Walk Jess somewhere else if possible until both of you have recovered from the shock. And when you do go back - relax! Those dogs have gone.
