Every night after dinner, my dogs get a carrot as a treat.

Jess has decided she now needs two carrots! So the last few wks... she scoffs her's,  runs to the front door/window, barks & digs the tiles or study carpet, as if, someone is breaking in... woof, woof, awoooooh, Grrrrr, ruff, ruff, get away or I will have you!..... (Tyson cannot run fast enough to back her up & bark in unison. No one upsets Jess without him defending her)

As soon as he starts backing her up......

She bolts off to steal his carrot while he is busy looking for or barking at a non existent threat! shocked You sneaky bitch! shocked

She's a master thief! & He falls for it everytime!

What does your dog do?

My mum had a Jack Russell that did that. His sister fell for it each and every time. Spike would run and bark and she would chase after him while he ran back and ate/drank whatever we had given them.

laughing Sneaky Jess!

Dempsey has perfected the art of entering bedrooms uninvited. He does a double-bluff. When somebody comes out of the bedroom to go to the bathroom, he assumes the position next to the door, waiting. When they return and open the door, he darts to the left of the person, then straight away to the right, shooting past. If that doesn't work, he'll go back to the left again and get through that way. tongue

laughing  They are really sneaky aren't they.

Millie is a brilliant thief and has amazing patience when there is something she wants. She can wait for hours not even looking at it until you have completely forgotten about it. I made a profiterole pyramid once when a friend was visiting and left it on the kitchen worktop to cool. We were sitting chatting when I heard Millie trotting up the hall and stop at the livingroom door. She had gone in and carefully took one profiterole from the bottom of the pyramid to take to my room. Daft girl got caught because she dropped it at the livingroom door rolling eyes laughing
