New treat 'Postman's Leg' released, Mail union not amused - what do you think?

On the one hand, it seems like it's just a harmless effort to sell the treats using humour. On the other hand, I can understand why the postal service would be upset. Maybe they're being too sensitive, but it's probably a sensitive subject for a lot of them and they may feel that they're being made fun of.

I can't really decide if I'm on either side, as such. Only a trivial matter, but it caught my eye and I thought it was interesting!

I've asked my son about this, because once upon a time in a galaxy far, far away - he was a postman.

His view is that the Postman's Leg treat is a harmless joke.

I think they are being overly sensitive, and quite frankly it's just something else to moan about for the sake of it. It's a harmless joke!

My dad's retired now but he was a postie for about 40 years and I can't see him finding that offensive. It's obviously just meant to be funny

Maybe they should put a warning on the label: 'This is a treat, not a real postman's leg!'

Oh, were has everyones sense of humor gone? Political correctness has sent the world mad! Next "Gimme an Eskimo pie thanks" will be, "Can I please have a vanilla sharply cut rectangular wedge of ice cream coated in a thin layer of milk chocolate. Thank you!".

It is funny. Everyone is overly sensitive these days.

Seriously, anyone who doesn't see the humour in that needs to take a good hard look at themselves.
