Yes Shisa - it was the boy's mother.
It's amazing what ingenious answers I got when I asked this one not so many years ago (the boy was adopted by the surgeon - the dead man and the surgeon were in a same-sex relationship - the dead man wasn't the real father - the dead man was only stunned and recovered in time to do the surgery - to mention a few). I can't remember anyone coming up with the right answer.
Good to know we've all moved on ....
So what's your riddle Shisa? I won't solve it in a million years, but I'll give it a go!

I thought it was 'n' from the 'throw me from the window' part, but I can't figure out where it fits in the second part, so... I have no idea!
