Jess fell & wouldnt get up on a walk today.

My sis inlaw came over. She'd had a flat battery... needed to drive... so she drove for 45mins to come here... Doggie play was a bonus...Blah, blah, blah.

Anyway, we all went for a walk, she had her 2 poodles, Con had Tyson, I had jess. It had gotten dark but, no matter. Everyone happily strolling down the street.

Jess & I were last, she couldnt keep up with everyone so we just ambled along following them. 1/2 way through our walk, Jess tripped, fell over & just laid there. She did not even attempt to get up!

I called out to con. I took Tyson as he lifted her from the ground & we made a beeline for home.

She seems ok, but she won't move from her bed for now.

Poor Jess - what a fright.

Hopefully she is feeling just a bit shocked and sore and "old-ladyish". Do let us know how she gets on, and give her a gentle hug from me and Kuch

I hope Jess is feeling a little better now - what a fright for you.

That's scary, but I'd liken it to an elderly person having a fall - it shakes the body up & sometimes you just need a day or two to get over it.

How is she now?

I gave her a kiss & cuddlde.... I said, " that's from Kuchar."

I freaked Lorraine... she just didnt even try to get up.

I think she's sprained her front left joint. She is walking but limping & not weight baring at the moment.

I will give her a day or 2 Caryll, then... its another vet trip if she's not literally back on her feet.

Our paws are crossed here that Jess is soon back on all four feet

Did she trip or did she stumble and fall? How is her heart?
I hope she's back to herself ASAP!

She lost her footing between the grass & concrete path. She just went down like a sack of potatoes & stayed there.

Maybe have her checked out. Dogs have strokes and heart issues.
Not to scare you and I'm sure it's nothing.
