The Final Confessions of Mabel Stark

By Robert Hough. This is a biography about Mabel Stark but it's written in the form of a novel. Mabel was born in America at the turn of the century and became the greatest female tiger trainer in the world, she died in the 1960s (or 80s I forget which).

Mabel lived a very raunchy life. She started out as a nurse but then ended up as a stripper (after escaping from an asylum). She was a bigamist and married 5 times, the one husband she loved was killed by her favourite tiger. She also describes in detail about one of her tigers trying to eat her. You'll be amazed at how she taught her tigers one particular trick.

It's quite rude in parts as she was no shrinking violet. An amazing story about the life of an amazing woman.

I've read things about her before, although not this particular novel. Amazing woman!
