Weekend Empty Weekend

Post by Wendy Mon Apr 21, 2014 12:38 pm

How was your weekend? I was out last night at my local, I'd had quite a few drinks so for some reason I decided to sing 'La Bamba' on the karaoke. Even though I don't speak Spanish and I don't know the words. It was made worse by the fact that some guy decided to be my backing dancer and kept getting in the way of the prompt screen.

I can just see it!

I went out Friday with some people I hardly know and it was shite. I fakes a headache and left early.
Saturday I worked and got into bed early with a White Hot Chocolate whiskey and my book.
Sunday I went out to lunch with my my mum and a friend of hers and am dealing with an allergic reaction from the food. I ordered pizza but the restaurant shares a kitchen with a Sushi bar. I'm highly allergic to some fish so we suspect something got near my pizza [SIGH]
Today I'm at work again  worried

We went for a meal at O'Neills yesterday, but it was a bit disappointing - the portions were really small!

"La Bamba" is my favourite song to sing at a Karaoke, I don't the prompt screen cos I know all the words (or approximations of them!) by heart.

They're quite easy really, there aren't many of them and if you slur a bit over the words you're not quite sure of, no-one will notice (Richie Valens got away with it so why shouldn't we  happy )

Next time I do it I'll try to be brave enough to insert a trill and wa-ha in the Mexican manner into the instrumental section. I can do it, but it hasn't been aired in public yet!

Go for it Wendy!

I just had a quiet weekend at my sisters. We normally go to my mums and the kids have an egg hunt but my youngest niece has chickenpox so it was an afternoon at their house instead.

I would clear the place if I sang at karaoke. Tried it one new year at my sisster-in-laws and never again lol.
