They've caught and charged the man who set fire to a dog

Due to the distressing nature of the topic, I haven't put a link up to any articles and won't be going into depth about the poor dog.

Apparently, a 23-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal and has been charged with the crime, alongside a number of other offences.

At least comfort can be taken in the fact that this man can't hurt any other dogs.

I hope the bas**rd rots in hell.

The way this lame law works he will be out in 3 weeeks with a 5 year ban

I think it'll be more than that, even if it's only because of the other crimes he's been charged with. I hope so, at least.

It's sickening. It happened in Northumberland too a couple of years ago. A greyhound was found bound with masking tape and had been set alight. Miraculously though he survived and was adopted.

If there's one thing that sickens me beyond all else, it's sadism.

It's just a shame we are not allowed to serve out the punishment that would be best fitting .............................

In a case like this, so do I wish that we could. Thinking logically, I know it wouldn't be possible, but this man is a nasty piece of work.

I think what disgusts & worries me is that if he can do such a thing to a dog, what would he be capable of doing to a child?

I dread to think.

What's he going to do to his kids some day.
