I might be a bad person

My mum would like to have a Great Dane puppy again, so we've been trawling the web looking for fabulously wonderful breeders.
Last night I was looking through Gumtree and inbetween the Great Dane puppies pops up a advert for a older Miniature Pinscher x Chihuahua type girlie in Rescue. I thought this strange as I had searched specifically for Great Danes; so followed the link, emailed the rescue... someone had beaten me by 15min asking to adopt!
So am I a bad person for hoping their home check fails?

All my dogs have found me through some quirk of fate so if it's meant to be, it'll be I suppose.

No, I think you'd be perfect for her! Can you register your interest just in case? She looks such a little cutie - poor thing, found on the street at her age.  

I don't think that makes you a bad person! You take exceptionally good care of all of your dogs!

Their homecheck went through and I saw a pic of them on Facebook. Really sweet looking couple.
Oh well... there's probably someone who needs me more ( I'll keep telling myself that).

I do miss my Twinkles.

OMG of course you miss Twinkles - you are still grieving and it takes time to come to terms with that grief, take your time.

A bad person - you, Shisa? Absolutely not, you are just trying to fill the Twinkle-shaped hole in your heart, which is understandable. It will happen when the time is right

Not a bad person, id of wished the same if I wanted the pup. But... seems it wasnt meant to be. I do believe the right one at the right time just seems to fall into place.
