Book lovers with Android devices
I have an App .apk that you can install to read and download free books on.
I've used it on my phones and tablet for about 2 years with no problems.
It does support adverts (hence free) so I just switch of my wifi while reading as I find it very irritating.
You can request books, search by author, category, name etc.. mostly fiction.
If anyone is interested pm me your email addy and I'll email it to you.
Just download and install on your Android device.

No, unforunately not. It works with the Android operating system... your Samsung, Sony etc phones and tablets.
It is a pity as it has thousands of books on.

Re: Book lovers with Android devices
Well send it to me! I love reading! Mainly biographies, non fiction, true crime, & I do love to read someones imagination. My friend has just lent me 2 books...one on Marlon Brando & one on Yule Brynner. The Yule Brynner one is very well written, I'm enthralled. I havent started Brando yet. Its an encyclopedia. That one will take awhile, I'm open to anything.
I have a book fetish... I can never have too many books on anything. I LOVE THE SMELL OF OLD PAGES TURNING! If I buy a 2nd hand book with a history of people reading it before me....im in heaven! I wonder who else has turned the pages...what did they think about the book? Did it make them think deeper, what did they think in the end?
I have many old leather bound books, back to 1778?
I am yet to get into books online because once I read it.... I need to own it & that goes for borrowed books.
Here's your book returned, (as you must because, I love to loan mine but get really annoyed if not returned.) Thank you so much....now... Im off to the book store to get me a copy & read it again.
I have so many books.... they are stacked ontop of all the vertical ones. I really need a new bookshelf!
Send a link, maybe its better? I have no more room!
All right.. stop talking tracy! Hehehehe.

It was a load of hogwash. It was very poorly written I got halfway through the first book and if tge ******ed mc had said 'Oh my' one more time I would have thrown my tablet against a wall. I found it pathetic tbh. I've read better.
I used to be just a book crazy but I go through to many books to keep up budget-wise. With the tablet I can read and read and read and it costs peanuts. Takes a while to adapt.
I sent it. Let me know if you get it.

'Fraid I don't have anything related to Android!
50 Shades of Grey - oh, the reasons I detest it. Believe it or not, I used to know the 'author'. She visited my old literary forum a few times before it was published. Her book actually started off as a Twilight fan fiction. At one point, I left quite a lengthy, constructive review of her work and was met with nothing but snappy, childish insults and excuses.
Anybody who knows me knows that I take writing and plagiarism very seriously. I'm sorry, but writing a novel based entirely off of somebody else's ideas, characters and books in general, and then simply changing the names (and switching them to humans) to avoid copyright trouble, is barely short of plagiarism. I'm not a huge fan of Twilight anyway, but that's not the point. The author of Twilight spent a reasonable amount of time and effort on her characters; at the very least, she should be offered royalties.
Sorry, Theresa, for the change of subject!
If I ever get an Android device, I'll give you a poke!

Same here, I LOVE the feel of a good book - new or old. One of my pleasures, though, is buying a really old book & finding an aold newspaper clipping inside, or a note to somebody which was written years and years ago.

That sounds good. I'll pm my addy and give it a try
I've never read any of the 50 shades books. There was too much hype around them and it put me off. Same with Twilight, it's only recently I've watched the films lol.

I've never read the books or seen the films - never wanted to!
I was put off the 50 shades books by Eleanor, when she told me about the author on Fan Fiction. If a book isn't even grammatically correct (at least most of the time) then I get severely irritated!

I once found a rose and a 4 leaf clover pressed in an old leather copy of "Illustrated exhibitor". I just checked...1852, london. It an arts book. Sculpture, lithographs, biographies, paintings, etc. It was on the page of a lithograph of a naked woman & child embracing.
Hmmmm, did the person who pressed them know the people in the pic?

That exactly why I did read them. Not normally my kind of book, but I wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I did enjoy the 1st one but the next two.... they were hard NOT to put down.

Although eroticism is not my choice of reading, I did wonder what it was about "that" book to cause such a fuss. Now I hear that not only is it badly written but concentrates on sadism, I wonder even more.

If you want a really good book....an autobiography, multiple personality, both challenging to your mind to keep up & a wonderful insight into another persons world.
The Flock.
By Joan Casey (the subject) & Lynn Wilson. ( the psychiatrist)

Im about ready to txt her.... hey! Where's my damn book? Have you lost it?
