Puppy Photos (please post yours)
I'll start with some never before seen, All Breeds Forum exclusives.
Unfortunately with my old laptop stolen I don't have any pics of baby Xan.
Here he is in about 2009 playing with my trainers GSD old boy, Bracken. Bracken didn't play with anyone but had fun that day with Xan.
Missy ... tired from all the schooling.
Sheba ... killing the fluffy thingy
Spike ... my miracle dog
Pugsley ... how can you throw away a doggie like this?
Axel ... my fwuffy teddy bear.
Lequita ... those ears.

Oh wow! I can't even pick a favourite; they're all so sweet!
Dempsey's first time outside the house and garden:
(Tired!)
Picking him up for a cuddle, when he decided to 'nip' my face. His bite inhibition was zero when he came to us, as he'd been hand reared.
Wandering around the garden, about eight weeks old:
Six weeks old, attacking the breeder's son's feet. The breeder intervened to nudge him out of the way, so Demps attacked the breeder's feet instead:

Ah thank you Eleanor The one of Trigger is blurry because he was moving so fast killing the tugger, (and I'm a terrible photographer),but I love it because he was happy at that moment.
You sneaked in some pics of Dempsey as a baby - they're gorgeous! He was a feisty little fella wasn't he? I love the last one - despite he was attacking feet he looks so sweet I just want to cuddle him!

The photos look great! Besides, do what I do - blame it on the camera! Trigger was a beautiful little guy
Just a bit! It got very bad once he reached about six months old. This was about the time he developed specific hatreds for certain things; the hose pipe, the broom stick, the vacuum cleaner, etc..
His biting was really bad, but it was also accompanied by tantrums. While the women of the house (me and mum) were alright with managing him, the men just hadn't gotten the grasp of being firm with him. Until the whole family joined in on being firm, he just continued to be a nightmare. It got to the point where dad actually said he was worried that Demps had a nasty streak and we wouldn't be able to cope. I think this was when he realised that things had to change. Although Demps wasn't actually being aggressive, he was nipping/biting way too hard.
So his bite inhibition slowly started to develop! Once he reached two years old, he'd calmed down somewhat with the biting. At five years old now, he still play bites with dad when they're having a rough game, but that's all.
But yeah - as a puppy, he had a way of making it look sweet!

When we went to see him at 6 weeks old, the first thing he did after being placed on my lap was crawl up & bite my chin!

Gorgeous pics!!! So sad about Trigger. My first ever dog, Gizmo a minpin boy, also only had a week with me.
Xan also had no bite inhibition as a pup. He thought hands were the best tug toys on earth.

R.I.P., Gizmo
I don't really blame the breeders for Dempsey's lack of bite inhibition. If he hadn't been hand reared, he would have died. It was extremely difficult to handle though! His needle teeth were bad enough, but once his adult teeth were through, it was horrible!

That's the truth!
I now have to think that 3 months ago I thought I was going to go insane with 4 dogs under a year old.

I never really remember the bad bits about the pups I've had. Or rather, I remember them, but for some reason nowadays they seem to be funny or cute!

Puppy pics are the best and the worst thing on earth.
Best: Well ... cute puppies
Worst: Makes me want another one!
I go back and forth ... Axel's breeders are having another litter end of the year and I shouldn't but I so want to! He is such a fantastic dog.
