Aslan, Morgan & Tristan Empty Aslan, Morgan & Tristan

Post by Lorraine Wed Jul 23, 2014 7:57 am

I've just introduced ourselves on the forum, and been asked for some pictures (you may regret that request - I love taking pictures of my kids!).

This is Aslan, he's eleven. He came to us from the Blue Cross six years ago, having been found starved and in a terrible state. He loves his tennis balls, and hydrotherapy which he does once a fortnight to keep his arthritis at bay. He's the most gentle boy - I don't know how anyone could have abandoned him.

This is Morgan. She is my pride and joy. We got Morgan as a puppy (my first, I'd always had rescues previously), she will be seven next week. Morgan rules the house, and tells the boys what to do - they know better than not to obey her! As an introduction to puppies, she was a dream.

Here's my baby, Tristan (otherwise known as 'Monster'). Tristan has just turned three, and is Morgan's half brother. They dote on each other. For all the ease that Morgan was as a baby, Tristan was the opposite. He's still very much the baby of the family, and has just discovered that he likes tracking, so we're going to be trying that with him.

They're all gorgeous, but Aslan is SUPER gorgeous!

I didn't know Aslan went to hydrotherapy. Ella takes her boys (Harvey & Chance) to hydro as well.

They're all gorgeous.

Aslan looks noble, Morgan looks full on trustworthy and Tristan looks like he has hidden depths (tracking?)

Aslan is the softest, soppiest, least threatening bundle of fur that I've ever had the privilege to own.

You're correct - I might like to meet Lequita! (I somehow doubt that's going to happen, though!)

Thank you! As I've said - Aslan is not at all noble; but Morgan is my angel and Tristan is a monster! I tried tracking with him for the first time a couple of weeks ago - he excelled at it - so we're going to try some more!

They are all beautiful. Tristan looks like he could cause some trouble. laughing
Aslan is just stunning! Morgan looks like she'd be a neck massage lover.

Yes, it is. It helped build up the muscle on his back legs in particular as there was nothing there when we got him. He had a recurring limp and x-rays showed fairly serious elbow arthritis - he still doesn't need any medication for it yet, but is on supplements and has a magnetic bed - the hydrotherapy is good non weight-bearing exercise for him = and he enjoys it!

Definitely looks like he enjoys it! happy Thanks for sharing!

I'm (hopefully) going to become a hydrotherapist! Set to start my uni course this September, before I go onto the Hydrotherapy course. happy

What's the magnetic bed for? Sounds interesting!

Oooh! that sounds exciting!

The magnetic bed is supposed to help with circulation and keeping the joints free. It seems to work for him - prior to us getting it he was struggling to get up in the morning, but now he puts me to shame!
