Who are you?

First topic message reminder :

I think it would be nice for us all to put a face to the name.

Here's me a couple of yrs ago. Taken by my sister in Broken Hill. It was about 48c, a stinking hot wind (so a pretty normal summers day for there really) & the stone was burning my hands...




So... Don't be shy... Who are you?

Tracy - thank you; actually I take after my Dad, who was Polish. You look great in your photo - do you still have that lovely long hair?

Hayley - you are indeed a pretty girl with or without makeup, but I love how you did your eyes in the 2nd pic.

Caryll - I've seen pics of you before so I never had a pre-conceived idea of how you look! I used to "persuade" my hair to be as dark as yours , but have admitted defeat!

Lynda, I have to say... you may take after your father but I see your mum's & your features very much alike!

I also take after dad's side. All Germans, My big sister is mum's side. Australian / Irish. On a good day, in heels, standing tall, she can come up to my chin if she jumps. & I'm the short one on dads side.    

Yes I do still have long hair. I still look exactly as the pic except...it's slightly longer now & there's a few more grey hairs sneaking in.  I've thought about a short hairdo for sometime now but, I don't think I could actually go through with it. I have had long hair since I was very about 7 yrs old. Everyone says "dont you dare cut it". They would no longer know who I was.

I love putting a face to the name I think everyone looks great.

This is an oldie I just saved on my phone last week. I was 19 and I'm amazed my mum took the pic, she hated the way I looked  


This is me now, complete with coldsore. My cold cleared up and left me with a cough and coldsore lol

I had a grade school teacher... "Mrs Frasier" she had the longest hair I had ever seen, often in a bun. Beautifully rolled. Salt & pepper coloured by nature. I thought she had the most beautiful hair I had ever seen. I will never forget how it flowed in the wind.
Though she will never know the impact she had on me....I think I will have long hair till the day I go fully grey & drop dead.

Lynda - tell your mum that if I look half as good as she does when I'm 88 then I will be more that happy!

Tracy, I agree with Linda, keep your hair long I keep getting my hair cut short, regretting it and spending years growing it out again lol.

Caryll, there aren't many pictures of me then. I got bored with the colour and style every few months so it was constantly changing
My hair is naturally a curly, mousy dark blonde that I've been dying darker for years but it was becoming a pain doing that with the amount of grey through it now lol.

Caryll, my mum keeps up very high standards regarding her appearance - always smartly dressed and fully made up, which takes years off her. I should take a leaf out of her book, but I'm such a slummock!

I look terrible on photos. I'm probably one of the least photogenic people you will ever meet.
So ... this is me about 2 years ago. I look just about the same now, my hair is just slightly shorter at the mo.

Thanks. I'm trying to get it back to that. Wash and wear, no nonsense. I keep growing it out and hacking it off again.

I'm the total opposite with mine. I have to have long hair! I feel really strange if it's above shoulder length.
