Kuchar has 3 quarters of a Wainwrights tray every day - half in the morning, half in the evening. Different flavours every day. Just recently I have had to grate a bit of cheese over it to tempt him.

He didn't eat yesterday's or today's meals at all. He seems Ok in himself, if a bit quieter in the house, but is totally normal on his walks. He's playing his favourite "chase the old trainer game" at the moment.

He was terribly fussy as a puppy and it took ages to find something that he would eat (Wainwrights Trays) and I don't want to pander to him and encourage a return to fussiness, but what do I do? I'm trying starving him into submission at the moment - who is going to crack first? tearing hair

Billy was so fussy about his meals that I changed to raw, and he is still so fussy but at least now he eats it.

I give billy dry in the morning and raw in the evening, it takes him till tea time to eat his dry them he eats his raw, he will a
Only eat chicken, beef and chicken wings and liver if it's cooked, so that's why he has dry so be is not missing anything.

Hope kucher is just getting bored with his food xxxxx

Thanks Lynne. I wondered about whether he was bored, but he has different flavours every day, plus the grated cheese if necessary.

I've tried dried and raw in the past but he won't look at either.

How long would anyone leave refusal of food before a vet visit?

If he's anything like Dempsey, perhaps he's gotten bored with his food? happy I'm not sure, but can Wainwrights trays be heated up? It might make it a bit different.

Also, you could try contacting Wainwrights. Sounds daft, but recently Demps went off his food. Turned out they'd changed the ingredients!

I'd consider a vet trip if he hasn't eaten after the third day. hug Just in case! Maybe he has a sore tooth or something.

Thanks Eleanor for your input. If Kuchar doesn't eat his dinner tonight, I'll try warming it up in the microwave tomorrow.

Update - panic over for now. Kuchar's dinner had been down for 3 hours. 15 Minutes ago I put some of it into his Kong - he ate it. Put some more in - he ate it. Then ate what was left in his bowl.

Little so-and-so is playing games methinks.

thanks for your patience.

What a worry they are!

When Dempsey gets a bit fussy I get a little bit of meat (usually beef - the cheapest!) and add it to his food. Just enough to peak his appetite again.

Glad that Kuchar has seen the error of his ways though!
