This style is all the rage these days.
They're based on working dog harnesses as the police, search and rescue and trackers use.

I haven't used one, but if I used a harness for Dempsey, it's one I'd strongly consider.

The harness itself is great however it has rubbed Lola really badly under her armpit

The k9 harness doesn't go under the armpits? It sits over the top of the shoulder

Re: Julius K9 harness
Yeah but there is a strap that goes underneath the body which can impact on the armpits. I bought an additional kind of y shaped thing that was supposed to improve things but I reckon that is what caused the problem Here is the harness without the extra strap. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trixie-Julius-K9-Powerharness-Size-Chest/dp/B0036I88H0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1417552852&sr=8-1&keywords=julius+k9
