Valerian Root Powder
Yesterday we had thunder and Sheba was in a state of complete panic. She gets very worked up over thunder and drives me insane because she wants up, then down, then up, then down and scratches me something terrible.
I went through all my medicine to see what I have to give her to clam her down. We have infrequent thunder so I didn't think to get her something after running out.
I have some Restin tabs which is a natural calming/anxiety medication. It's mostly Valerian Root Powder and B-vitamins. After googling to see if it's safe for dogs I have her about 1/4 of capsule. 30 Minutes later she was calmly, snuggled under the duvet, not worried at all.
I usually have some Bach Rescue Remedy for her but this worked much better IMAO.
I was very impressed with how well the Valerian worked.
