I find it truly incredible to see just how far science has evolved in recent years! Not so long ago, there was literally no hope of helping an animal once a prion had taken effect.

I got involved in a hearty discussion with a professor about this during one of my Health and Disease lectures. She adamantly refused to accept that there are any vaccines available for prions, even though I insisted that I could provide her with the study. It was a friendly debate, of course, and she was very interested in the study after I showed it to her.
