Rawhide

In case anyone needs to be reminded...

I give mine some every now and then. They're quite disgusting. What I find even worse is cow hooves. Those things stink to high heaven!!!

I don't give Kuchar raw-hide any more, partially because I have read Caryll's warnings over the past couple of years (the chemical content is horrifying), and partially because once Kuchar got past the puppy chewing stage he went off them anyway.

Pets At Home is full of rawhide, in all shapes and sizes and flavours. Which is a pity as I thought it was an ethical company.

I've got some cow hooves, which I stuff with cheese every now and again for Kuchar's entertainment. I must admit I can't smell them - maybe I have been inured from cow and horse smells from childhood or maybe my nose isn't as good as it was (like the rest of me!)

My major concern with rawhide is the expandability of the hide, once it touches moisture. Huge blockage hazard.
