The more you tell me not to, the more I want to do it.

Hmmm. I would have sworn aquarian! Tell an Aquarius not to do something & it's guaranteed they will!

I don't really follow star signs and stuff, but I think Geminis are supposed to be difficult!

Aquarians rebel, ( stubborn sh1ts actually). They do anything they are told " not to... or can't be done".
Yes, both Con & I have the same birthdate... Not the same yr though.

Re: Optimist or pessimist?
Maybe I should have been an Aquarius, then!
Apparently this is me:
'Gemini are extremely independent. They will not be pinned down by anyone or any rules. They need to experience the world on their own. Change and freedom are extremely important to Gemini, they will never let anyone dictate them, they are extremely independent and freedom is essential to their mental well being.'

My sister is a Gemini (I think? her birthday is tomorrow) and this description is nothing like her. And I am apparently an Aries, and all that sporty, fiery stuff I read about ages ago is nothing like me.

I never take it too seriously. It's mainly just something I glance at every now and then for a bit of fun. Some people read their horoscopes daily and live by them!

Yes, some people do ....... and I'll say no more as I don't want to upset anyone.

I'll say it. Horoscopes are bull! Blah, blah, blah.... you can make it mean anything they are so vague. Con & I are both the same birthdate & strong willed so its a joke in this house. Don't tell either of us we can't do something.... we'll do it even if we don't really want to just to make a point.

Re: Optimist or pessimist?
To be fair, some people are genuinely interested in things like that. Most of those people ignore the horoscopes, but focus on constellations and alignments and whatnot. I can understand and respect that belief, even though it's not really something I buy into.
The daily horoscopes, though... How many people with a birthday this month have been disappointed that they haven't met a tall, dark stranger?

If people want to believe horoscopes that's up to them, but personally I think they're rubbish - just a money making scam.

'Whatever you're asked to voice your opinion about now will mean a great deal to you. In fact, even if you didn't have a strong opinion when you started, you'll certainly have one by the time you finish making your case. That goes double for any issues you already feel adamantly about -- like politics, religion or education, for example. Just go easy; folks will listen more attentively if you're nice.'
This is me today, apparently! Somebody ask for my opinion about something!

Re: Optimist or pessimist?
Oh God... I didn't even know there was a fiasco. You did that deliberately!
Oh wait, I actually did know that! That silly arse, Putin, is using it as an excuse to point his finger at the USA again in his latest tantrum.
Opinion: Well, I looked up Putin's birthday. He's a Libra. His horoscope today says:
'Holding hands with someone will be a very major thing for you at this point. In fact, no matter what you plan to do with another person, it won't happen if you don't feel it right down to your toes. That means you may need to pull back a bit, regardless of how your companion feels about it. Don't be shy about saying 'no,' and don't feel obligated to say or do anything you don't feel comfortable with.'
So Putin needs to hold hands with somebody. That's what I think.

Re: Optimist or pessimist?
I looked up mine on a couple of sites.
One says I should invest more time with my friens & family, tell them everything about me. ( well I don't think there's anything they dont know.)
"The other says I am supported by the planets, quote....
Mercury and Neptune are moving towards a square, and this tends to cast a temporary layer of fog over your thinking. Use this energy to entertain fantasies, but wait before making big decisions, particularly related to matters of the heart and financial affairs."
I'm so confused now? Should I do coffee with my friends & chat or think before I kick con & tyson out before I cash in his stocks? Now, I won't know how today will go till it happens now.

Re: Optimist or pessimist?
What would happen if one of the horoscope writers was having a bad day? What if they decided to predict every Capricorn's death? Half of the world would go insane!
