mother ducking lexi >:(
Bitch strikes again. It is a horrible rainy day and usually the chooks are not out but they went out today (one hen and one rooster other hen is in brooding) and the little **** got them when she broke through the shed door (it was a sliding door so she pushed it open lol) Hen is a goner but the rooster was smart and played dead. He has a plucked arse and his comb has a few bloody scratches but he is in good spirits. He has drank a lot and ate some and i have washed his comb and back with a healing cleanser and warm water and put antibiotic powder on the comb (he was brighter after this little bath) and he is now curled up in the empty nest box beside the brood hen. I think he is missing wife no. 1 because he usually roosts with her on the perch!
Lexi looked very proud of herself! Even with three working legs shes a cold blooded murdereereererer Poor little lady and man chicken.

I know how you feel. I went away last weekend for our wedding anniversary, leaving my animals in the care of a house-sitter. Uther decided he fancied 'playing' with one of my hens, Cersei, and now I'm down to eight. I don't blame the house-sitter, but it is hard.
RIP wife no. 1; fly free.

Poor chook!
That's nature, though, isn't it? Dogs will be dogs & Lexi isn't to blame, just one of those things.
RIP little hen, fly free.
Hope the rooster heals quickly.
