IMO the ones i like to have in the house are:
turmeric obviously!
cinnamon
mint
rosemary
parsley
garlic
basil
ginger
slippery elm/marshmallow root i keep for runny tums!
Arnica i have in as a gel and homeopathic remedy rather then the herb.

I tend to keep ones in that i use a lot in cooking or are inexpensive
But if i needed to i'd get others in to treat specific things etc
