In preparation for Dempsey's operation...
I bought him an inflatable Buster collar, as the large Elizabethan collars distress him. With an E-collar on, he can't properly get into his bed, get up and down the stairs, eat, drink, etc.. I was a bit worried that he wouldn't take to the inflatable collar either, but I tried it just now and...
I want to get him habituated somewhat to it before his vet date on Tuesday, rather than force it on him for the first time when he's not feeling well. It's a bit big for him, but the size below this one was probably going to be a bit too small.

Thanks! I'm more worried about the after effects of the anaesthetic than the operation itself.

He looks very cute in that. Talk your worries through with the vet/anaesthetist - what specifically do you have concerns about?

I'm sure he'll be fine! I know it's easy to say and hard to do, but do try not to worry.

Like all of them, he feels pretty miserable after an anaesthetic - very whiney and restless. It's hard to see them like that, isn't it?

It is, but if it's too much, there are things they can be given to help with that.

We'll take it as it comes - he'll start to feel better once he's home, I'm sure.
