Thank heavens, not to be compared to the hurricane of 1987 which was (hopefully) a one off, but in terms of day to day breeziness, I'd be inclined to agree.

That was 'a bit breezy' to quote the weather forecaster idiot the night before! Seven oaks in Kent became Two-Oaks overnight!

Yes it was horrible - and we NO IDEA it was coming A very scary night, and the next day when all was calm - the devastation looked like World War 3, or the Apocalypse, had happened overnight.
So yes, this year has been a been draughty at times, but at the moment the air is perfectly still.
