As humorous as the article is trying to be, I really don't like that. It's great that the husband is okay with this now, but it could have gone badly.

Also:

Bear enjoys a cooked breakfast of FOUR scrambled eggs and sausages every morning but likes nothing more than snacking on yoghurt, popcorn, bananas and milk when he's feeling peckish between meals

Why? shocked Why on Earth would you give any dog a regular daily meal of sausage? Do they want him to develop pancreatitis? The amount of fat and salt in sausages is far too much for them to be given daily.

And:

"He's very protective of it. If a stranger comes in, he won't let them go and sit on his sofa he sees it as his."

I wouldn't brag about that. With a dog that size, I wouldn't want to take a risk like that. I know that there was no mention of biting, but I think all owners should be able to get dogs safely off of the furniture with relative ease, especially with larger dogs.

Don't get me wrong. He's a beautiful dog and looks great for his age, but I wish people would be a bit more careful.

Surely a puppy Great Dane is already bigger than a full-grown Jack Russell?!?

Oh boy. The husband must be a sandwich short of a picnic!
