Who says small dogs can't be good protectors?

It must have been terrifying. When we had a fire in our old house, I remember deliberately shielding my eyes when I had to go past the flames to get out of the house, so that I wouldn't have to look at it. I think I was about six years old and didn't really understand how serious it was, but even then I was terrified. Well done to the parents for acting quickly!
