A pity that the DNA evidence didn't come to light sooner.

Good that the innocent man is eventually free, and was not executed for his brother's crime.

DNA wouldn't have been used because he originally confessed to the killing. His brother coerced him into it!

Must have missed that. (I must admit I only speed-read it because I've got a bit on at the moment)

However, surely DNA profiles would have been taken anyway regardless of confessions?

DNA would probably have been taken, but because he confessed it was never actually checked!
