Munchkin. Haaaa
A funny story...
At the park today a lady was sitting on the bench, tyson is always by my side he only goes into the trees and he knows he cant cross the path. He must stay on one side... its just how it is so he never goesnear the road. I need only say" not too far" and hes right back by my side but today...he ran to a lady sitting on the bench to say hi! He was so happy to meet another to fuss on him. She freaked... hes a solid muffin.. I bolted.., its ok! I yelled. He wont hurt you. He wants kisses, pats.. she had no english at all. All she said was... russian... russian... It came down to sign language.... point to dog.... hand to heart... hugs.. love.. hand shakes.she patted tyson... all good I told tyson off. Come means now! Not after you meet new people...., haaaaa

Oh bless him! Maybe he realised that here was someone who needed a bit of love.
How lovely that he is (normally) so obedient, and that you were able to communicate with this lady in sign language.

It was lovely.., he just wanted to say hi but I get her. She wasnt a dog hater but id guess she hasnt got them. She was scared. I wasnt so much worried for but her fear. She was scared of a chunky dog running at her. I dont want people to confuse a dogs excitement with aggression. It ended well. Both happy. Its amazing what you can portray with just jestures.

God help me... he did it again! Waggy bum and tail at 400 kms... he trotted over to a lady today. ?. I said hes just saying hello.. she scowled.... I dont want to say hello to one of THOSE dogs. Get it away! Those dogs shoukdnt be off leash ever and always have a muzzle..., After I caught my thoughts I said... youre right! I should have him on lead.. he doesnt need to meet idiots like you!

Good reply - maybe you should also have asked her if she'd had all her vaccinations as you didn't want Tyson to catch anything nasty!
Stupid woman.

I work on the theory... all be it flawed due to idiots... most dont let an aggressive dog off lead. Sure there can be scuffles if they dont get along but 9/10 dogs are fine.

I'm afraid round here that's not the case, we have more than our fair share of idiots!
My big bone of contention is people who allow their off lead dogs to approach on lead dogs (or even off lead, unknown dogs). We get it all the time, "It's okay, he/she's friendly". Not the point at all - the other dog might not be friendly, the other owner might not be friendly, all sorts of reasons, really.
Dempsey is much better than he used to be, but he's still quite reactive & won't tolerate rudeness! He's on a lead for a reason, folks!
