Awwww. That lovely! My family inherited benny. Left on a farm. They look him in. My bro inlaw remembered the dog in town 20 yrs prior. Ill see if I can find the pic I have of him.

Finally.... heres benny.
Little guy was left for yrs on his own to scrounge for food. Huge farm. You couldnt drive around it in 2 days 150,000 arces?. I dont know what he was? Collie x corgie? Dont know? Collie x something smaller... Then the shearers saw him, sheared him as they thought itd help him in the searing heat. All they did was distroy his coat. It was never the same or right again. He was a scruffy lump of fur forever after that.. it never grew back properly. But he lived out his days with a full tummy as he slept by the fire in winter. He must of been....25? I dont think anyone really knew but many knew him as the dog up there that comes into town, they, saw him on his daily trip into town... many yrs hed been doing it before my sister and bro inlaw found him. He was just the town dog till they took over the farm and he wandered in. Bless him.
My brother inlaw is a real farm boy. Animals dont come in the house. But he let benny in to sleep by the fire. Hehehe

He loved benny. Benny won his heart. Benny had a tough life but landed in a soft place. After he passed I framed this pic for him as a xmas gift. Only time ive ever seen a tear from that man.  Benny isnt a word we say here now. Its too sad.

Definitely Collie x something! Could be corgi, but we'll never know! Another well cared for oldie.

Well there must be something in the Australian air (or Kelpie blood?), because first Bluey, then Maggie, and now Benny lived w-a-a-a-y beyond the normal dog life-span.

Yeah... he did.everyone knew him. But the last few yrs he just slept on the porch in the sun and came in after his dinner at night. He always wanted out. He was a bush dog but he did love a tummy rub by the fire every night.

Lovely way for a hard working dog to end his days.
