Re: Border Collie
Yes, I'd love to see them! Border Collies were always my favourite breed....and then I found staffords! Bull breeds took over in a big way!

Re: Border Collie
same for me I suppose , we did have a GSD when I was a baby but the parents rehomed him as he was destroying everything through lack of exercise , went to a family friend and a great dog after that
Roy 4- 20 yrs ( BC )
Ben 21- 28 yrs ( BC ) he lived until about 13 but never saw him after me hitting around 28 due to a big family fall out
Missed a few years then we had Dusty ( BC X ) and when we lost him 1 year and then Tilly

Re: Border Collie
Between the collies & Bandit I had 2 x Tervuerens, 2 x GSDs and a Gsd cross. We only got a stafford because my oh didn't really like GSDs! Never looked back, although the training was so much easier with the collies!

My 2nd BC , Ben , I took to obedience etc as I was the only 1 in the house with a car and a regular work pattern , he was an absolute breeze to train

Bit of a jump from border collies to a bull terrier.

Re: Border Collie
Zena (my first) was a 'difficult' border. She had her own mind (born from working stock) and would often decide whether or not she'd do what I asked. But when she was on form, she was amazing. Won loads of competitions at test C, but I never tried championship shows!
Zena was the one who embarrassed me something awful when I fancied the training instructor. We were doing heelwork & I was showing off a bit (a lot). The trainer said "Left turn", so I turned left. Zena didn't. I fell A over T right in front of everybody!

Re: Border Collie
I'd love to have a border collie, but you need to invest a lot of time in them. We know somebody with a gorgeous blue merle border collie, but he's a very unpredictable dog because he's never exercised. Poor thing.
