Poor Demps hurt his head

Dempsey's bed is tucked away between my armchair and the sofa, as he loves enclosed spaces with small single-enter/exit routes:





He also loves to dig up his bed, which is composed of a large, soft, foam-filled base and a few large blankets. To do this, he spins in circles, throwing his head around to rearrange the bedding. Only this time, he collided with the back of my armchair.

You know that heart-wrenching feeling you get when you see a little child's lip start to wobble after they hurt themselves? With those big, sad, confused eyes? I swear, the look on Dempsey's face just broke my heart! He stopped still, hunched up and looked up at me with the saddest, most confused eyes you could ever see!

He got lots of comfort, of course! Now he's curled up on the sofa, as far away from his bed as possible!

Oh Dempsey ... someone should start a cartoon series about the things you get up to and your reactions.

It's tempting! I made a little photo-cartoon strip of him with his stag bar once, I think. I'll see if I can find it!

I didn't think you could hurt a Bt's head!! That must have been some wallop!

I was sitting in the armchair at the time and I felt it!

He managed to hurt himself a few months back by sneezing and hitting his nose on a low table. Started crying, bless him!

Poor boy. He gave the sorriest look at Eleanor and then came running over to me!

He has now dug up his bed & is snuggled up all cosy.

Usually he just bounces his head off things & it doesn't bother him, but this one must have been really hard!
