Or do you take their collars off?

I've voted no, although occasionally we've put a collar on the Dempster if we had workmen in.
Other than that, he walks around naked!

Most of the workmen know to stay away from a barking dog, but I still think the collar should be used... just in case!
But yeah, no collar indoors otherwise!

only Tommy ever wears a collar indoors and only ever when we are doing show practice , apart from that the pair of them just wander around the house nude like Dempster

Dempsey's uncle died after he managed to get his collar caught in his crate, and although he managed to get out of it, he then ate it, which caused an obstruction & he died.

Tbh, if your house is safe and as dog proof as you can make it, there isn't really any need for a collar IMO. Wearing a collar all the time can actually cause health problems.

None of my dogs have ever worn a collar indoors. Initially it was because my Dobies were show dogs and I didn't want their coats marked, but they didn't wear collars indoors even after their show careers ended. And neither does Kuchar. I just can't see that it's comfortable - it would be like wearing a bra 24/7!

My dog always has her collar on inside or out. I'm always worried she may get out and get lost. Her collar has her name, my name and my phone number on it

thing is if she's left alone at home there's the potential of her getting her collar caught on something, happened to many dogs

I still have faith in the dogs and our security measures so collars are only for walks and now show practice
